Rim Size Comparisons: Conventional 1C, 1, 1X, Schilke 18-24, and other similar rim sizes

The C1 size range contains the five largest rims that we make for trumpet. These rims vary mainly in their contours, which can also affect the sensation of size.

Rim Options:

• C1-1 - Very large rim size, with a rounded contour that makes it feel even larger

• C1-2 - Somewhat flat rim, comparable to a conventional 1X

• C1-3 - The original Monette rim, designed in the mid 1980s

• C1-4 - Fairly flat rim contour

• C1-5 - The go-to rim for players accustomed to a conventional 1C
