Flugelhorn mouthpieces are made in the modern Resonance FLG body design. (Although not recommended, these can also be made in the vintage-model FLG mouthpiece body as a special order. Just contact the shop or add a note during checkout.)
 
Classic & Prana Internal Configurations
Prana mouthpieces allow for the most resonant sound, most effortless playing, and most consistent pitch and timbre
Classic mouthpieces can feel more forgiving for players who tend to play with a tighter physical approach, or who are accustomed to a non-Monette mouthpiece
 
Shank

Resonance flugelhorn mouthpieces can be made with a variety of different shank sizes, including the two most common 'small' and 'large' shanks, trumpet shank, and the extra-large German shank.
 
If you feel you need a different shank or are not sure what you need, just select 'Other Shank/Not Sure' and we will contact you to help you determine the optimal shank for your flugelhorn.

Flugelhorn mouthpieces have deep, V-shaped cups and are available with many different rims.
 
Most Popular Sizes
One of these will work best for the vast majority of players
FLG 1-5 (comparable to the rim size of a conventional 1C)
FLG 2 (comparable to the rim size of a conventional 1-1/4C)
FLG 4S (comparable to the rim size of a conventional 1-1/2C)
FLG 6 (comparable to the rim size of a conventional 3C, 5C, or 7C)
 
Additional Size Options
Some players will want a less common rim to match the rim of their Monette trumpet mouthpiece. Here is a partial list of sizes that can be made for flugelhorn:
