B3 rim size - comparable to the rim size of a conventional 1-1/2C or 2C.
 
This has the same "3" rim design as other Monette "3" mouthpieces, such as the B3 S3 and the original B3. Perfect for a player who uses the B3 S3 but wants a shallower cup.
 
LD "lead deep" cup depth is semi-shallow. Not as shallow as most lead mouthpieces. Great for lead and commercial styles of playing, and any other situation where a brighter sound is desirable. LD cups still have enough room to allow for some warmth and richness in the player's sound. 
 
Classic (non-Prana) internal configuration.
