Vintage-Model C2 Mouthpieces for C trumpet

Vintage-Model Mouthpiece Bodies:
    •    STC-1: standard-weight (for the fullest sound and best stability)
    •    LT: lightweight (for a brighter sound and lighter feel)

Rim Size Comparison: Conventional 1-1/4C, Schilke 17, and other similar rim sizes


The C2 size range is extremely popular, especially with players who like to play with a rich, full sound.


Variations on the C2 rim:

  • C2W Rim: This is a wider-diameter version of the C2 rim, comparable to the C1 size range and conventional 1C mouthpieces


  • C2.5 Rim: This is a smaller-diameter version of the C2 rim, comparable to the C4 size range and conventional 1-1/2C mouthpieces


Rim & Cup Options:

*Cups for each rim are listed from shallow to deep


  • C2W Rim (wider diameter than C2 rim, comparable to B1 sizes and conventional 1C)
    • C2W S3 - standard-depth cup
    • C2M S3 W - medium-deep cup


  • C2 Rim
    • C2LD S1 - semi-shallow 'deeper lead' cup
    • C2 S3 - standard-depth *extremely popular choice
    • C2 S5 - standard-depth, wider shape for a wider sound
    • original C2 - no longer recommended (special order only)
    • C2G S3 - very slightly deeper than the B2 S3
    • C2M S3 - medium deep
    • C2D S3 - deep
    • C2 FL - deep V 'Flumpet' cup


  • C2.5 Rim (narrower diameter than C2 rim, comparable to C4 sizes and conventional 1-1/2C)

Classic & Prana Internal Configurations

  • Prana mouthpieces allow for the most resonant sound, most effortless playing, and most consistent pitch and timbre
  • Classic mouthpieces can feel more forgiving for players who tend to play with a tighter physical approach, or who are accustomed to a non-Monette mouthpiece

Plating & Finish:

Classic mouthpieces have a shiny, buffed 24k gold finish

Prana mouthpieces have a brushed 24k gold finish

  • Monette mouthpieces are made-to-order and usually will not be available as ready-made stock. The standard estimated wait time to have a trumpet mouthpiece made is approximately 6-8 weeks. Vintage-Model mouthpieces are mostly discontinued and likely to involve a significantly longer wait time. The exact wait time is unpredictable, as it is affected by many variables.
